Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She then played reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt and played a supporting role in the series that ran for a short time The Ex List. She was Kaylee as a young Moira on the first season on FX's American Horror Story. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She has voiced various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has been on the show as Melinda "Mel" Monroe, a character on the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge grew up in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10, when her mother and her relocated to California [1and a half years ago] where they lived for a year before finally moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she first began to pursue an interest in photography, acting and singing. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 15 to pursue a career in acting.
